What have you done in Quzhou Experiment Station?
I carried out field research on nitrogen use efficiency and yield of maize as influenced by nitrogen fertilizer application in Africa and China. Attended various lectures such as water management, advances in Resource utilization and plant protection technology, the utilization of agricultural resources on mushroom production, improved agronomy practices. Visitations to Farmer's field and various STB station.
Soil Sample from field experimental site.
Soil samples were taken at a depth of 0-20cm using an auger before planting. This is done to ascertain the nutrient in the soil before planting
Air drying the collected soil samples in the greenhouse.
I and my colleagues separating the soil for easy drying. After air-drying for 3 days the soil is sieved using a 2mm sieve to remove dirt and debris before sending it to the laboratory for analysis.
